My freelance service began when I started working with a small, entrepreneurial paint manufacturer requiring marketing, advertising and website development along with document and catalogue production.
It was quickly apparent that other small businesses also needed marketing or advertising guidance and hands-on support, but were not able to invest in a full-time team or employee. And so I have tried to bridge that gap.
I offer outsourced support, providing practical, impartial and very effective marketing advice. Importantly for you, I don’t believe in re-inventing the wheel. I offer straightforward, affordable solutions based on many years’ experience helping run small businesses and working to tight timescales.
This includes strategic direction, planning, project management, third-party outsourcing and management, direct mail campaigns, direct response press advertising, web design & development, SEO & web content management, Google Adwords management, print design, purchase and fulfilment, bulk email campaign management, promotion and event signage.
My career experience includes a variety of roles: as General Manager & Marketing Director for an Independent Software Publishing Company; as Client Services Director for a leading Marketing Services Group; as Managing Director for Grey Direct Limited, a full-service Direct Marketing Advertising Agency employing 120 staff; Client Services Director for Grey Direct and almost in my youth, Typographer/Studio Manager for Harrison Cowley Advertising.
Now my challenge is to ensure that any business I work with generates a return on investment from their marketing spend through simple, straight forward marketing solutions. This can be via a one-off project, or through ongoing support either with guidance or practical hands-on involvement.
